THE POETS CORNER
By Dawn Fink
Happy Valentine's Day!
February's here, and quick it did come,
and it's still frigid, and happy are some.
But others want warmth and the sunlight bright,
cause it's not fun getting frostbite.
The shadow was seen by that brown little critter,
and that means that longer it stays cold and bitter.
We can still wish that spring hurries up fast.
We don't want the cold to last and last.
For now, we'll still shiver and shake in our shoes,
and impatiently wait for the day of good news.
When the sun shines brightly and warms up the day,
and we can all walk out and happily say,
no harsh bitter cold to hurt the bones,
no aching and bellowing those dreadful groans.
Hearts full of flutter and love all around,
chocolates and flowers are given around.
Happy Valentine's Day!
There's love in the air from Mt. Airy Church,
where we really do care.
"The stone which the builders rejected. Has become the chief corner stone"
Psalm 118:22
"... having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit."
Ephesians 2:20-22
Therefore, thus says the Lord God,
“Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, a costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed."
Isaiah 28:16
