Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do; Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Where we place our confidence? It is your own strength. Your own effort? 

As we begin the New Year. Let's start by accepting God purpose and His will in our lives by allowing Christ to work through you. 

Your outlook for the new year will be much brighter if we ask Christ to lead us on the right narrow path, then ask for strength and help to accomplish He sets before you initially set out to do. 

We have to remember God is all knowing and able to direct our steps so we can press on forward boldly confidently even when the future is uncertain or we cannot see yet. Trust in the Lord, embrace the New Year and each day with a Spirit of Christ, spirit of perseverance in our Heavenly Abba Father. 

Trust & obey. God is faithful and good keeping His promises. 

Simple Prayer

LORD, give me wisdom as I stop, think and pray to what my goals for the new year. Show me what You would have me do and thank you for never ever forsaken me.  

LORD, I want to begin this year and each day of the year by seeking Christ guidance first. Show me the plans You have for my life. Thank you for Your ever-present love and peace that comes from you. In Jesus Christ name. Amen.
